E-Mail Policy
To better meet the needs of our patients we can now be reached via e-mail for routine questions and for appointment requests. Although not all needs can be met in this fashion we hope that many of our patients will find it a convenient way to communicate. After all, you can send an e-mail 24 hours a day!

DUE TO DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS, ONLY EXISTING PATIENTS SHOULD COMMUNICATE BY E-MAIL WE CANNOT RESPOND TO ANY NEW PATIENT E-MAILS.

Questions via e-mail:

Routine questions that do not require immediate response can be asked via e-mail. When sending an e-mail, please send it to the office (
mail@BeachFamilyDoctors.net ) When sending your question, please put who the question is for in the subject line, i.e. "question for Dr. Barrett".

The following information must be included in the question to allow for the proper chart to be pulled: Patient's full name, date of birth and telephone number.
E-mail is not appropriate for any question where a response is desired in less than 2-3 days, and we can not guarantee the confidentiality of e-mail questions.

Appointment requests via e-mail

We are excited to offer e-mail as a way for our patients to request routine appointments. Not all appointment requests are appropriate for e-mail but a significant number are. Please keep the following facts in mind when sending us an appointment request.

- Same day and illness related appointments can not be handled by e-mail. Requests are not checked frequently enough to guarantee a timely response.

- The best e-mail requests are very flexible. " I would like to see Dr. Bennett sometime in the next 2 weeks" is an appropriate e-mail request. "I would like to see Dr. Besley Tuesday the 15th at 4 PM" is not.

- Please include your name, phone number, date of birth, the reason for the appointment, the providers you would like to see (or are willing to see), and any times you are not available in your request.

- If you are a Dr. Bernbeck patient requesting a Pap Smear, those appointments are typically booked up to 3 months in advance. Please indicate if you are willing to see the Nurse Practitioner or any other provider. The office will schedule the appointment and send you the date and time in an e-mail response. If your request can not be accommodated you will be notified either by e-mail or phone.
